Prometric is a U.S. company in the test administration industry. Prometric operates a test center network composed of over 10,000 sites in 160 countries. Many examinations are administered at Prometric sites including those from Microsoft, IBM, Apple, the Common Admission Test (CAT) of the IIMs, the European Personnel Selection Office, the Medical College Admission Test, USMLE, etc.

  1. Donations to Sandy Relief Fund

Hurricane Sandy was classified as the eighteenth named storm and tenth hurricane of the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season, was a Category 2 storm at its peak intensity. While it was a Category 1 storm off the coast of the Northeastern United States, the storm became the largest Atlantic hurricane on record (as measured by diameter, with winds spanning 1,100 miles (1,800 km)). Preliminary estimates of losses due to damage and business interruption are estimated at $65.6 billion (2012 USD), which would make it the second-costliest Atlantic hurricane, behind only Hurricane Katrina. At least 253 people were killed along the path of the storm in seven countries. The severe and widespread damage the storm caused in the United States, as well as its unusual merge with a frontal system, led the media and several government agencies to nickname the hurricane Superstorm Sandy. Kaizen compromised on the Annual event conducted regularly in the month of December and donated the budgeted amount to Sandy Relief Fund.

  1. Contributed to Upendra Chivukula’s Fund Raiser

Upendra holds the proud distinction of being the first Indian-American elected to the New Jersey Legislature, and only the fourth Indian-American to be elected to a state legislature.
Kaizen supports the Assemblyman in both monetarily and otherwise.

  1. Developing a new SAP Hana solution for Bio Informatics & Life Sciences Vertical

Sequencing and protein docking are very compute-intensive tasks that see a large performance benefit by using a CUDA-enabled GPU. There is quite a bit of ongoing work on using GPUs for a range of Bioinformatics and life sciences codes.

  1. Cancer Walk last saturday June 9th 2012.

Middlesex County Office of Public Health in association with The Cancer Institute of NJ and ParamCARE Foundation are hosting a Pancreatic Cancer Walk, “Walk with Us to Find a Cure” event on Saturday, June 9th from 9:00 am- 11:30 am at 151 Parsonage Road, Edison, NJ 08818.

The event is held to raise awareness on Pancreatic Cancer in the community. A sincere effort was made to inspire the community on being physically active, socially connected and mentally blissful. The proceedings collected in this event will benefit Pancreatic Cancer research at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
