Process & Mechanical SME (ENG)

Overview of Role: The Process & Mechanical SME will be an expert consultant to guide a team of engineers in the industrial process engineering. Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Performs work which involves conventional engineering practices. Requires general knowledge of precedents in specialty areas and familiarity with basic principles and practices in related specialties. This position requires an experienced and competent individual capable of successfully solving difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered. Functional responsibility includes: • Providing specific Process& Mechanical Engineering Subject Matter Expertise in support of the Manual and Procedure development process. • Bring Specific Process& Mechanical Engineering and Operations expertise in an advisory role within an integrated project context team. • Advise technical team of engineers in defining the scope of work • Develop and produce appropriate technical drawings and diagrams of nature appropriate to the Manual and Procedure scope. • Maintain contact and communication with all project managers and other project personnel to ensure conformance with requirements of each project(s) and client user expectations. • Implement strong program management practices (change requests, issue management, risk management and decision tracking) and contribute to standard client implementation methodologies and management best practices. • Delivering Network optimization projects and development of process to support implementation plans. • Willingness to travel to different sites within NA. Required Skills • Experience of working in process industry. • Knowledge of the liquid and or powder technology • Knowledge of battery making technology • Knowledge of paper /pulp making technology • Hands on skills in engineering designs. • Should have experience in construction support. • Should be aware of US standards. (Engineering, safety, environment, construction etc.) • Should communicate effectively across all levels of the business both internally and externally. • Excellent understanding of factory operations. • Excellent verbal communication skills – able to relate to and build rapport with People from a wide range of backgrounds • Persistent – able to maintain a positive attitude under pressure • High level influencing and negotiation skills • Ability to manage own time by planning effectively in order to meet deadlines • Well organized – having a structured approach to work and also able to operate in a flexible manner • Effective written communication skills • Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite of programs Qualifications Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and/or master's degree focused industrial process. Should have plant experience (>15 years in CPG industries). Good knowledge of engineering, Support to all disciplines, Mechanical, Process, Power & Instrumentation and CSA.
